This price list is for electric and acoutic guitars.
If you know what guage of strings you specifically require, just ask. If not, a suitable gauge will be selected. You are welcome to supply your own strings.
What do the services involve?
Fret board conditioned - Playing your guitar will lead to grime building up in your frets, and can also build up on the fret wire. This could make it difficult to bend or slide, and shorten the life of yours strings. So conditioning the fret board gets rid of the grime making your neck look like new.
Intonation setup - If the guitar sounds out of tune near the 12th fret but in tune for the open strings, the intotation is out and needs setting up correctly. This involves changing the length of the string and can be done on almost all electric guitars, however, you can't make this adjustment on most acoustic guitars.
Full setup - This includes intonation check and adjustment, action and truss rod (neck) adjustment. The action is the distance between the string and the fret board. Having a low action means it is easier to fret notes/chords because you don't have to push down quite so hard - this is a good setup to have if you're a beginner. The truss rod runs right through the middle of the neck. When string tension is placed on the neck, it will naturally want to bow forward with the tension. Truss rods control this neck bow.
